Comparative Research on the Nitrogen Removal from Wastewater of High Ammonia
Concentration through Nitrosofication and
Nitrification Ways

Abstract: Effects on the nitrogen removal from low C/N ratio and high ammonia content wastewater through nitrosofication and nitrification pathway are compared and analyzed based on the experiments. The results show that nitrosofication can markedly increase total nitrogen efficiency and nearly double the loading of NH3-N and NO3-N. Besides, pH value and ammonia concentration of wastewater affect the nitrogen removal mechanism in the aerobic tank.
